Tenpoint Stealth NXT vs Ravin R10: Key Differences
- Ravin R10 is lighter than Stealth NXT.
- Stealth NXT is faster than Ravin R10.
- Ravin R10 is more compact than Stealth NXT.
- Ravin R10 is slightly smaller than Stealth NXT.
Those are the key differences between the Ravin r10 vs Tenpoint stealth NXT. Now let’s find out which one to choose and why.
Reason To Choose Ravin R10
It’s one of the best flagship crossbows on the market. May reviewers agrees with that statement. That’s why it won so many awards back in 2019.
Ravin R10 is not that expensive. But it will provide performance of a much more expensive crossbow. Ravin R10 is capable of firing at up to 400 FPS with 142 ft-lbs of kinetic energy. That’s a lot of power for a compact crossbow like this. For me the best feature of the Ravin R10 is the weight and compactness.
- 400 FPS, COMPACT 6-INCH COCKED AXLE-TO-AXLE WITH HELICOIL TECHNOLOGY
- LIGHT WEIGHT 6.8-POUNDS - For maneuverability in the field
- BUILT-IN COCKING MECHANISM AND ANTI-DRY FIRE/AUTO SAFETY
- 100-YARD ILLUMINATED SCOPE AND QUIVER
- 3 RAVIN .003 ARROWS - With field tips (400-grain total weight)
Reason To Choose Tenpoint Stealth NXT
If you are someone that likes to stay up to date with the latest and greatest gadgets, then Stealth NXT should be the obvious choice here. As it came after Ravin R10 and can shoot 10 FPS faster than Ravin R10.
It can generate 2lbs more kinetic energy than Ravin R10. I know that doesn’t sound like a lot. I won’t even convince you it’s a lot. It’s not. Anyway, Stealth NXT also has a better crossbow scope among the two.
Cons Of Having Ravin R10
Ravin R10 shares one con that most of the Ravin crossbows suffer from. The included crossbow scope is just not good enough for the crossbow. It can’t keep up with the fast speed of the crossbow. Besides that, I don’t have much to complain about the Ravin R10.
Cons Of Having Stealth NXT
The Draw weight of the Stealth NXT is 220lbs. It’s not like you are going to use that much force. TenPoint included a cranking aid for the crossbow. That cranking aid is not the smoothest. It tends to jam a lot and the decoking mechanism isn’t crisp. It feels sluggish and slow.

Tenpoint Stealth NXT vs Ravin R10 Summary
To sum up the Ravin R10 vs TenPoint Stealth NXT battle, there isn’t a clear winner. It will depend on whether you are team Ravin or Team TenPoint. Both of them are good crossbows and can give each other a run for their money. It’s fun to see crossbows that are so much alike go head to head. The real winner here will be the hunters. No matter what, you are getting a tremendous crossbow that will support you for a long time.
