That’s why I am here to solve that confusion. I can’t promise that I won’t make you more confused. But you will find an answer that’s for sure. What are we waiting for? Let’s get started.

Reason To Choose Wicked Ridge Invader X4
In the technology world there is saying, don’t wait for the better one, there will always be a better one coming. That’s not entirely true to crossbows. Sure, there are better crossbows available for more money. But better crossbows doesn’t come like better smartphones. I know I am speaking a bunch of rubbish here.
But the Invader X4 does brings a lot of new things on the table. It’s lighter and more powerful. Making it a better choice than G3. Sure, the speed difference is not that huge. But when you add in the new scope and the kinetic energy, the X4 suddenly becomes insane.
It’s also smaller. Compact crossbows are always a better choice. You can take to places where you couldn’t take a recurve crossbow or a bigger crossbow.
Reason To Choose Wicked Ridge Invader G3
The Invader G3 came earlier than X4. You may think it’s not worth taking that crossbow anymore. That’s where you are wrong. Crossbows aren’t like smartphone. Each year you won’t get new crossbows that outperforms the other by miles. The Invader G3 is a balanced crossbow that can shoot fast and generate a ton of power. Wicked Ridge Invader G3 also comes with ACU draw cranking device. It’s silent and can load the crossbow with almost no force at all.
You probably thinking this crossbow costs a ton. You will be surprised just how low the price of the Wicked Ridge Invader G3 is. That’s what attracted me to this crossbow the most. The price to performance value.
Wicked Ridge Invader X4 Crossbow Problems
The weight of this crossbow is nothing concerning. But the weight distribution on this crossbow is quite bad. Most of the weight is shifted towards the forearm of the crossbow. Which makes it an uneven crossbow. While carrying and aiming, the heavy forearm may create issues.
Wicked Ridge Invader G3 Crossbow Problems
Not everything is sunshine about this crossbow. Like most other crossbows, it has its cons. The main con of the G3 is the noise. It’s not as silent as other Wicked Ridge crossbows. It lacks proper noise dampeners on the limbs and there is quite bit of string friction.

Wicked Ridge Invader X4 vs G3 Summary
I have to go with the X4 here. For almost same price, the X4 is clearly the better crossbow here. But the weight distribution of the crossbow is quite concerning. Other than that, the X4 got my full votes here.
Both of the crossbows are quite good actually. Don’t let the age fool you. The Invader G3 is an excellent crossbow as well. The price tag is what makes it so impressive. You won’t find many crossbows with ACUdraw pro cranking aid in this price range.
