The Centerpoint Sniper 370 is quite a good crossbow. Countless other reviewers and users will agree with me on this. What makes it a better buy over the Hero 380 is the price. It’s way cheaper than Hero 380 and it performs quite similar.
The speed and kinetic energy are not that huge. What is huge though is the weight. Without accessories, the weight of the Sniper 370 is almost 8lbs. A lot of hunters love a bit of heft in their crossbows. For those, the Sniper 370 is quite a nice buy.
Killer Instinct Hero 380: Advantages
The reason is simple, it’s the better one between the two. The spec and the difference chart proves that. The Killer Instinct Hero 380 is capable of firing arrows at up to 380 FPS. That’s quite an achievement.
Almost caught up with big guns such as other Tenpoint crossbows that costs 3x the price of any of these crossbows. The 118 ft-lbs of kinetic energy is quite good as well. it’s enough to get you started hunting and help you participate in big-games as well.
Centerpoint Sniper 370 Problems
The weight balancing on this crossbow is not that good. The front end of this crossbow is heavier than the back end or the middle portion.
The installation guide included in the package is worthless. It’s so vague that if you never installed a crossbow before, you will have a hard time figuring out everything. That’s a bummer for new people in the scene.
Killer Instinct Hero 380 Problems
The included scope of the Hero is just not good enough. At this price you will expect to have a better crossbow. The crossbow can’t keep up with the speed of the Hero either. If you buy this crossbow, just ditch the stock scope and go for something better.
